The role of telecom operators has
undergone enormous changes in the past five
years. Nowadays, they are not only providing
voice / data services, but also
various innovative content such as video,
music, images, games, applications and software
to their subscribers. In the meantime, content
partners or content providers are feeding
in content every minute.
- How to manage the content
from different sources on a centralised
platform?
- How to make good use
of network resources?
- How to handle all mobile
content such as video (live and non-live,
passive (downloads) and applications in
2G and 3G environments?
- How to offer the content
update workflow flexibility to senior
management as well as efficiency to internal
staff and content providers?
Co-ordinating and managing
different content types from numerous sources
in a timely manner usually involves a great
deal of manual work. Worse still, the efficiency
and accuracy of these updates are often below expectation. What you need is the Intelligent
Content Management System (ICMS) to help
ease the pain of inefficient content management. With better content management, Cherrypicks'
ICMS also provides a seamless secured and faster way to make available rich content to the end users.
In designing the ICMS,
Cherrypicks has employed a content dispatcher,
which is a universal information exchange
adaptor fully compatible with SMSC, MMSC,
WAP, Web gateways and video servers. Telecom
operators and content providers are able
to work on common platforms (Web and WAP). With minimal or even no change, new
content providers can be easily added
into the existing architecture of the system.
Operators have the rights to configure various
access control combinations for different
groups of content providers.
The ICMS further offers
a fully configurable drag-and-drop web-based
interface for the easy management of the process
of content submission, content delivering
and bill settlement. Content providers should
submit new content to the production platform
prior to its publication date. Content will
only be made available for publishing upon
approval. The location of the content such
as URL under which category of WAP tree
or Web structure, related links, ranking
of top links within each category are included.
Content placement can be assigned easily which redeployment. For mobile content published in the WAP
platform, the same information is displayed
simultaneously in the web portal to save
repeated manual work. Finally, content officers
are notified via email that the content
is ready for verification before publishing.
Cherrypicks' platform
always applies the latest open and scalable
Internet and wireless technologies wich ensure our applications are highly
compatible with the front or back end systems
that mobile operators currently have in
place.
