[Hong Kong] Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong (GHK) has regularly rolled out new features on its My Gleneagles SmartHealth app launched more than a year ago. On 24 Jan, they have become the first private hospital in Hong Kong to offer iAM Smart account registration and verification to provide convenience but without forgoing security for their patients. The new registration feature enables patients to create accounts remotely to access functions such as viewing their health records, making appointment bookings, virtual consultations, and mobile payments, etc.
In light of COVID-19’s impact, GHK has taken one more step towards providing safety and convenience to their patients. Patients no longer need to register and verify their account in person to view personal health records. After careful consideration, it was concluded that providing a contactless registration option through the iAM Smart platform ensures the security of the verification process for the patients. Patients can now safely create their account anywhere and anytime without visiting the hospital.
